On behalf of the Society of Rural Physicians of Canada, the Scientific Committee for Rural and Remote 2020 invites submissions for research presentations. This coming year’s conference will be hosted in Ottawa, Ontario from April 23rd to the 25th, 2020. It will be an opportunity to share original research, learn, and connect with colleagues from across Canada and around the world.
For this call for abstracts, we welcome submissions for RESEARCH PRESENTATIONS related to any aspect of health and healthcare in a rural and remote setting. We are particularly interested in presentations linked to this year’s conference theme, ‘Rural Physician Advocacy – How to Save the World in Your Spare Time’
All abstract submissions will undergo peer review by the Scientific Committee. Accepted research abstracts will be allocated one of two presentation formats (oral or poster).
Open for Submissions: April 10th, 2019.
Research Abstracts Due: December 31st, 2019.
Notifications: February 2020.

PRESENTATION FORMATS1. Research Oral Presentation:
Share information or results from a proposed, ongoing, or completed research project. Oral presentations will include 10 minutes to present, and 5 minutes for Q&A.
2. Research Poster Presentation:
Share information or results from a proposed, ongoing, or completed research project. Posters will be presented during a dedicated poster and networking session at the conference.

Deadline:All abstracts must be written in English or French and submitted by email no later than December 31st, 2019.
