Dargaville Hospital is a 12 bed rural hospital with an Acute Assessment Unit, Outpatient clinics, and many community based services.
The role of the Rural Hospital Medicine Specialists and/or Medical Officers is to provide medical care to acutely ill patients as well as the management of inpatients on the General Ward. The cases managed at Dargaville Hospital are complex and interesting, with specialist support provided from Whangarei Hospital.
A generous salary package includes substantial support for Continuing Medical Education.
