November 17th, 2017.

Regrettably we have had to cancel this year’s Slit Lamp Examinations Dec 13th and also the Rural Plastics Procedures Dec 14th in Montreal.

The Rural Plastics Procedures will be offered in Banff Alberta January 17th 2018 in conjunction with the ESS course and you may register online.

Therefore, on behalf of the committee, I would like to apologize for the cancellation.

This course is run by Family Physicians for Family Physicians and is designed for the Rural and Emergency Room Physician who must deal with lacerations and hand injuries on an intermittent basis with little immediate Surgical Support. The Course will be heavily hands-on and will concentrate on:

  • Allowing students to improve their Basic Suturing Technique
  • Emphasizing the importance of initial wound care in the ER
  • The initial Care of the Hand Injury
  • Introduce the students to more advanced techniques of wound closure in the ER, including flaps and finger-tips injuries and v-y closures
