Canadian Association of Wilderness Medicine CAWM 2020 Conference

Our friends at the Canadian Association of Wilderness Medicine (CAWM) are gearing up for CAWM 2020. This 2-day virtual conference is for any clinician (physicians, pharmacists, nurses, nurse practitioners, residents and students, and other allied health care providers) with an interested in wilderness medicine.  Register now!

Canadian Association of Wilderness Medicine 2020 Conference  | Nov 14-15 2020

CAWM 2020 will be a virtual conference held Nov 14-15 2020.  Over the course of the weekend participants will hear 20 presentations from 20 amazing speakers.  All the speakers live and/or work in Canada, and each presentation will consider Wilderness Medicine in the Canadian context.

Presentations will be on a variety of topics, including: dive medicine, mountain medicine, hypothermia, frostbite, Search and Rescue, and expedition medicine.

Date:  Nov 14 - 15th 2020 (Sat-sun)

Location: virtual

The majority of the conference will be recorded, and everyone who registers for the conference will be able to access the recordings for 6 months, at no additional cost.

Conference participants who register at the Medical Professional Level will be able to claim CME credits:*

• FAWM Credits from the Wilderness Medical Society (WMS)
• Type 1 CME Credits with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
• One-credit-per-hour Group Learning CFPC Mainpro+® credits

*Our applications for CME Credits are currently under review by the WMS, Royal College and CFPC Mainpro.  We will confirm if these CME credits will be available, as well as the specific number of credits that have been approved, once the review of our applications are complete.  Updates will be sent out by email to registered conference participants, and will be posted on this site.
