  • Online

The Primary Care Practitioner Training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (PTCAP) program aims to improve the health outcomes of children and adolescents with mental health problems in Canada by improving primary care practitioners’ knowledge, recognition, assessment and management of child and youth mental health problems. The three accredited online CPD modules focus on teaching clinical skills that practitioners may need to deliver mental health care to children, youth, and their families.

The modules provide PCPs with a menu of techniques that they can choose from depending on the situation and apply within the context and timeframe of a typical medical appointment. The skills are geared to assisting PCPs in mutually prioritizing concerns and charting a course of action with families, to address concerns over time.
