The Canadian Journal of Rural Medicine is published quarterly, is peer-reviewed, and has the following objectives:

  • To promote research into rural health issues.
  • To promote the health of rural, remote and Indigenous communities.
  • To support and inform rural practitioners.
  • To provide a forum for debate and discussion of rural medicine.
  • To influence rural health policy by publishing articles that inform decision makers.
  • To provide practical clinical information to rural practitioners.
