SRPC Resident Committee Opportunities 2026–2027
Are you a resident physician passionate about rural and remote medicine? The Society of Rural Physicians of Canada (SRPC) Resident Committee is recruiting residents from across Canada who are interested in supporting their peers, strengthening resident engagement, and contributing to the future of rural healthcare.
The SRPC Resident Committee is made up of resident doctors from across the country who are committed to supporting residents interested in rural and remote medicine. We welcome applications from residents in all programs, including family medicine and specialty programs, who share an interest in supporting rural communities.
All SRPC Resident Committee members must also be SRPC members. Membership is only $20 per year.

Resident Committee Co-chair Position
The SRPC Resident Committee is seeking a resident physician to serve as Co-chair for a two-year term.
Responsibilities and expectations include:
- Monitor the Co-chair email and manage the SRPC Resident Google Account.
- Support and oversee Resident Committee Team Leads.
- Act as a liaison and provide support to committee teams.
- Host quarterly meetings with the full SRPC Resident Committee.
- Attend SRPC Council meetings (Spring and Fall) as a resident representative.
Time commitment: Approximately 1 hour per week, with additional time required for meetings and committee activities.
We are always looking for residents who bring new ideas, enthusiasm, and a desire to help shape the direction of the committee. We hope to have resident representation from programs across Canada.
