SRPC Featured in Government Announcement on Connected Care

We are proud that the Society of Rural Physicians of Canada (SRPC) is highlighted in the recent announcement from the Government of Canada!

The Government has introduced the Connected Care for Canadians Act (Bill S‑5), legislation aimed at modernizing health information sharing, improving patient safety, and making care more efficient across the country. This is a major step toward ending fragmented health records and ensuring Canadians have secure access to their health data.

Dr. Sarah Giles, President‑Elect of SRPC, emphasizes the importance of common digital standards and interoperable systems, particularly for rural and remote communities, so that health care can be safer and more connected for everyone.
