The Society of Rural Physicians of Canada (SRPC) is proud to join the Canadian Medical Forum (CMF) in its commitment to addressing racism and promoting Truth and Reconciliation in healthcare. In December 2024, CMF member organizations, including SRPC, affirmed their dedication to eliminating anti-Black and anti-Indigenous racism within medical education and healthcare systems.

This statement outlines actionable goals aimed at creating a more inclusive and equitable environment for all communities, with a focus on Black and Indigenous populations. The SRPC is committed to supporting this critical work through transformative change, cultural safety, and ongoing education.
