Society of Rural Physicians of Canada Announces 2026 SRPC Award Winners
Quebec City, QC – April 17, 2026 – The Society of Rural Physicians of Canada (SRPC) is proud to celebrate the 2026 SRPC Award Winners, recognizing individuals and academic recipients whose exceptional contributions are strengthening rural and remote health care across Canada.
Presented during the SRPC Awards Gala at the Centre des Congrès de Québec, as part of the 33rd Annual Rural and Remote Medicine Conference, this year’s awards honour outstanding leadership and dedication in rural medicine. Recipients were recognized for their contributions to clinical excellence, education, advocacy, and community engagement, reflecting the strength and impact of rural health care across the country.
The awards were presented by SRPC President Dr. Sarah Giles and Dr. Gabe Woollam, Chair of the SRPC Nominations and Awards Committee. The SRPC and its Nominations and Awards Committee are proud to recognize individuals and organizations who make meaningful contributions to healthcare in rural and remote Canada.
Rural and remote medicine requires a wide range of skills, adaptability, and dedication, often in challenging circumstances. These awards provide an opportunity to recognize those who go above and beyond in serving their communities. Together, the 2026 recipients represent the strength and impact of rural medicine across the country.
